GO Contaminated Land Solutions were instructed to complete a phase 1 environmental report, phase 2 intrusive works and site investigation report, phase 3 remediation strategy and a phase 4 verification report.

The project was for the redevelopment of a former petrol filling station to a mixed use commercial and residential development. It was known that there were a number of underground fuel tanks on site.

During the site investigation elevated levels of contaminants were found in both soil and water samples.  As such a remediation strategy was devised and implemented to manage and mitigate risk. Verification testing took place during the works as tanks were removed and on project completion to ensure that there was no significant risk to on and off site receptors.
