The next EIC Contaminated Land Group meeting will take place on Wednesday 6 May at 11:00 and will focus on PFAS.
PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a group of over 10,000 synthetic "forever chemicals" widely used that do not easily break down. Once released, they remain in the environment and can accumulate in the human body over time.
The session will include contributions from the Drinking Water Inspectorate, Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra), and the Environment Agency, promising an insightful discussion.
